MEDIWRAP® Thermal Blanket

Constructed from the highly thermally efficient MEDIWRAP® textile the MEDIWRAP® blanket helps to minimise all four forms of heat loss – conduction, convection, evaporation and radiation.

The MEDIWRAP® textile is soft and comfortable on the inside, whilst being completely water resistant and draught proof on the outside, it is also latex free and invisible to x-rays.

The MEDIWRAP® blanket will help prevent the onset of trauma induced hypothermia and has been widely used by British Military Medics in both Iraq and Afghanistan to assist in immediate victim stabilisation and retrieval. As a passive warming system the MEDIWRAP® blanket can be used anywhere without the need to connect to a separate heat supply. Each blanket is individually wrapped, lightweight and easy to store or carry making it ideally suited to use in combat casualty care.

Ambulance Pack

The MEDIWRAP® Disposable Ambulance Pack is used widely by Military Medics and the Emergency Services in place of traditional bedding. If using a new bedding set for each trolley, the pack helps to cut the risk of cross infection for patients and staff. When patient transfer includes leaving the bedding with the patient or insituations where laundry is not available (such as field hospitals), the single use Ambulance Pack provides a high quality alternative. The Disposable Ambulance Pack contains a MEDIWRAP® Blanket, Absorbent Barrier Sheet, Absorbent Pillow Case and Yellow Clinical Waste Bag for easy disposal.
